Thanks for the great products and all your support. I look forward to my next stage of mods. - Jae
Thru pressure testing our upgraded intake manifolds it became apparent that the factory gaskets do not seal past 14psi. Nor do the factory gaskets seal with phenolic spacers at anything over 10psi. A boost leak is a loss of power. Here is the solution. We have these rubber/cork 1/16” gaskets computer cut to our specs which seal for us up to 30psi during our pressure testing. They are included with our intake manifolds but are also available by themselves. Included in a set is (2) main gaskets and (4) outer (doughnut) gaskets. If your planning on running phenolic spacers you will need 2 sets.
Install Notes: Upon opening you will see that the small round gaskets for the outer 2 bolts per manifold are cut into the extra material in 2 of the gasket ports. Pull out the gasket ports and then pull the small round gaskets out of that. Discard the rectangle pieces of gasket material that housed the small round gaskets. Trim off any leftover tabs from the separation on the main gasket inside the ports, a small pair of side cutters works great. Have the intake manifolds / plenums cleaned and ready laying upside down on the workbench. Lay the gaskets onto the manifold so you know which side will be making contact with the underside of the intake manifold / plenum. Lay the gaskets on a piece of cardboard with the surface that will be touching the intake manifold laying up. A light spray of 3m spray adheasive super 77 on the gaskets before installing makes aligning them much easier. Let the adheasive tack for about a minute. Carefully pick up the main gasket and set onto the intake manifold aligning each port, the spray adheasive will make installing the gaskets very easy and they will stay in place for the install onto the motor. Pick up the 2 small round gaskets that you also sprayed with the adheasive and install them onto the manifold also. Carefully lay the manifold on its side and insert all the bolts. Then pick up the manifold and set onto the motor / supercharger and tighten by fingers at first from the center out. Then 5 ft/ lbs from the center out, then one last pass at 10 ft/lbs from center out.
